FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST SUNDAY.

WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT.LIGHT FREEZING RAIN WILL INCREASE IN NORTHERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA TONIGHT. ICE ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN MOSTLY LIGHT...RANGING FROM A TRACE ACROSS NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA...TO POSSIBLY ONE TENCH OF AN INCH NEAR INTERSTATE 44. THERE MAY ALSO BE A NARROW AXIS OF SLIGHTLY HIGHER ICE ACCUMULATION IN A BAND FROM NEAR CHANDLER TO OKLAHOMA CITY AND CHICKASHA IN WHICH THE ACCRETION MAY REACH ONE QUARTER INCH. LIGHT FREEZING RAIN MAY CONTINUE NEAR AND JUST SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44 EARLY SUNDAY BEFORE ENDING AS THE FIRST STORM EXITS AT MID-DAY.

FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP ACROSS MUCH OF THE RED RIVERVALLEY LATE SUNDAY NIGHT. IT WILL EXPAND NORTH TOWARD THE KANSAS-OKLAHOMA BORDER MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT.

THIS IS WHEN THE MOST WIDESPREAD AND THICKEST ICE ACCUMULATION IS LIKELY.FINAL ICE STORM AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE NEAR ONE QUARTER INCH BETWEEN ADA AND WICHITA FALLS...UP TO ONE HALF INCH FROM SEMINOLE...TO PURCELL...AND LAWTON...AND POSSIBLY GREATER THAN THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH FROM STILLWATER...TO WEATHERFORD.THE ACCUMULATION OF THIS QUANTITY OF ICE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO GREATLY DISRUPT TRAVEL AND PRODUCE WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES.
