EXPECT LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING IN NEBRASKA TO MOVE TO NORTHERN
LOWER MICHIGAN BY SUNDAY EVENING. THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING
WIDESPREAD HEAVY SNOW TO WEST AND CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN THROUGH
THIS EVENING. THE ARRIVAL OF DRIER AIR ALOFT AFTER MIDNIGHT WILL
CAUSE THE SNOW TO DIMINISH IN INTENSITY WEST TO EAST LATE TONIGHT
AND MIX WITH FREEZING DRIZZLE. SOME SLEET MAY ALSO FALL OVER FAR
SOUTH CENTRAL UPPER MICHIGAN. PERIODS OF SNOW...MIXED WITH SLEET
AND RAIN OVER THE SOUTH CENTRAL...WILL CONTINUE ON SUNDAY BUT AT A
LIGHTER INTENSITY THAN THIS EVENING.

TO 1 PM EST SUNDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MARQUETTE HAS CONTINUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING...WHICH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST SUNDAY.
SNOW WILL INTENSIFY EARLY THIS EVENING AND FALL HEAVY AT TIMES
INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS ON SUNDAY. THE SNOW WILL DIMINISH IN
INTENSITY AND MAY MIX WITH SOME FREEZING DRIZZLE LATE TONIGHT AND
SUNDAY...BUT TOTAL SNOWFALL THROUGH SUNDAY WILL STILL REACH 8 TO
12 INCHES. EXPECT GUSTY SOUTHEAST WINDS TO 30 MPH TO ALSO CAUSE
AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW IN EXPOSED LOCATIONS THROUGH TONIGHT.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED. STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS
WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE AT TIMES.

OVERNIGHT...WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD SNOW INTO THE REGION THIS
EVENING...WITH SNOW PERSISTING THROUGH THE NIGHT. SNOW WILL BE
HEAVY AT TIMES OVERNIGHT...WITH AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW
EXPECTED AS WINDS PICK UP FROM THE SOUTHEAST. THE SNOW WILL MIX
WITH OR CHANGE TO SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN FROM SOUTH TO NORTH LATE
TONIGHT...WITH LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE POSSIBLE.

SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WILL LEAD TO SOME BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS EXPECTED OR
OCCURRING. TRAVEL WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS THROUGH THE NIGHT.
