.A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT TONIGHT OVER SOUTH CENTRAL
MINNESOTA...FROM ST. JAMES...MANKATO AND OWATONNA ON SOUTHWARD TO
THE IOWA BORDER.
EARLY THIS EVENING...SNOW WAS FALLING ALONG THE I-90 CORRIDOR FROM
FAIRMONT TO ALBERT LEA. THE SNOW WAS ASSOCIATED WITH AN AREA OF
LOW PRESSURE ALOFT OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS. THE SNOW OVER FAR
SOUTHERN MINNESOTA WILL EXPAND TO THE NORTH THIS EVENING ALONG
WITH AN INCREASE IN INTENSITY. THE SNOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE
NIGHT. TRAVELERS WILL FREQUENTLY ENCOUNTER VISIBILITIES LESS THAN
ONE MILE.
THE GREATEST SNOW ACCUMULATION OVERNIGHT WILL BE ALONG THE I-90
CORRIDOR...WITH UP TO 5 INCHES FORECAST. SNOW ACCUMULATION
FARTHER NORTH IN THE ST. JAMES...MANKATO AND OWATONNA AREAS WILL
BE UP TO 3 INCHES.
THE SNOW IS FORECAST TO DIMINISH QUICKLY TO LIGHT SNOW OR
