REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION
LOW CLOUDS AND AREAS OF FOG...SOME LOCALLY DENSE...CONTINUED EARLY
THIS EVENING EAST OF A LINE FROM CHEROKEE TO ELK CITY. THE CLOUDS
AND FOG ARE A RESULT OF NEARLY SATURATED AIR NEAR THE SURFACE
COOLING BENEATH A LAYER OF MUCH WARMER AND DRIER AIR ALOFT. THE
RAPID INCREASE IN TEMPERATURE WITH HEIGHT COMBINED WITH LIGHT WINDS
AT THE SURFACE WILL ALLOW THE CLOUDS AND FOG TO PERSIST ALL NIGHT.
AREAS OF LOCALLY DENSE FOG ARE LIKELY...WITH VISIBILITIES AT TIMES
FALLING BELOW ONE HALF MILE. THE MOST LIKELY AREA TO EXPERIENCE THE
LOWEST VISIBILITIES WILL BE MAINLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM
STILLWATER...TO OKLAHOMA CITY...AND HOBART...NORTHWARD TO ABOUT
WEATHERFORD...WATONGA...AND ENID.
