HEAVY SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 12 PM CST SATURDAY......WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS CANCELLED THE WINTERWEATHER ADVISORY. A HEAVY SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 12 PM CST SATURDAY.TEMPERATURE ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN MAINLY ABOVE FREEZING THROUGH THE MID EVENING HOURS. HOWEVER...WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG AND AREAS OF DRIZZLE CAN BE EXPECTED. LATE TONIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY...
AN APPROACHING UPPER STORM SYSTEM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE A BAND OF HEAVY SNOWFALL. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATE THIS EVENING IN WESTERN NORTH TEXAS AND SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA. LATER TONIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN TO FALL IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. ALTHOUGH SNOWFALL WILL BE WIDESPREAD...A MORE NARROW BAND OF HEAVIER SNOWFALL WILL LIKELY RANGE FROM SOME PART OF SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA INTO CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. AMOUNTS OF 5 TO 6 INCHES WILL BE LIKELY IN THIS BAND.
