.STRONG LOW PRESSURE OVER SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN WILL CONTINUE TO
BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTER WEATHER TO SOUTHERN WISCONSIN...
LASTING INTO THIS EVENING.
THE LOW MOVING INTO SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN EARLY THIS AFTERNOON WILL
LIFT INTO LOWER MICHIGAN BY THIS EVENING. ABUNDANT GULF MOISTURE
WILL BE FED INTO THE STORM SYSTEM WITH HEAVY PRECIPITATION
EXPECTED OVER SOUTHERN WISCONSIN.
THE PRECIPITATION IS CURRENTLY FALLING AS RAIN EAST OF A LINE
FROM MONROE TO MADISON TO OSHKOSH...WHERE TEMPERATURES WERE IN
THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 30S. HEAVY SNOW WILL CONTINUE WEST OF THAT
LINE...RESULTING IN SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ACROSS SOUTH
CENTRAL WISCONSIN.
A TRANSITION TO ALL SNOW IN EASTERN WISCONSIN WILL OCCUR SLOWLY
DURING THE AFTERNOON. BY LATE AFTERNOON OR EVENING...ALL OF THE
REGION WILL BE EXPERIENCING SNOW. THE SNOW WILL END LATE
TONIGHT...WITH BRISK NORTHWEST WINDS USHERING IN COLD AIR.
THE BRISK WINDS WILL LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING

COLD GROUND TEMPERATURES RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT ICING OF
UNTREATED SURFACES. WET AND SLUSHY UNTREATED SURFACES FROM GREEN
LAKE TO COLUMBIA AND DANE COUNTIES WILL LIKELY REFREEZE...WITH
SNOW FALLING ON TOP OF THIS ICE. OBVIOUSLY TREACHEROUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS WILL RESULT.
SNOW AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM 6 TO 12 INCHES IN IOWA...LAFAYETTE...
SAUK...AND MARQUETTE COUNTIES. 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS ANTICIPATED
IN GREEN LAKE...COLUMBIA...AND DANE COUNTIES. SNOW TOTALS WILL BE HIGHEST
IN WESTERN PORTIONS OF COUNTIES AND LOWEST IN EASTERN PORTIONS.
IN ADDITION...STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH...WITH GUSTS
TO 35 MPH IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING...WILL RESULT IN
SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. THE HEAVY SNOW WILL REDUCE

LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW CONTINUES TO FALL ACROSS MUCH OF
NORTHWESTERN MISSOURI THIS MORNING. THROUGH 9 AM...RIDGEWAY REPORTED
3 INCHES ON THE GROUND...2 INCHES OF NEW SNOW HAS FALLEN IN GRANT
CITY AND MARYVILLE WITH 1 INCH IN ALBANY. ALTHOUGH LESS THAN AN INCH
OF SNOW HAS FALLEN IN ATCHISON COUNTY THE COMBINATION OF EARLIER
SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN COMBINED WITH WINDS GUSTING UP TO 35 MPH HAS
RESULTED IN NUMEROUS POWER LINES DOWN...AND POWER IS OUT ACROSS THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY. IN ADDITION...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
OFFICIALS HAVE REPORTED MANY ROADWAYS ARE SNOW COVERED AND
SLIPPERY ACROSS NORTHERN MISSOURI.
THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF DURING THE LATE MORNING BUT NOT
BEFORE 2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW HAS FALLEN. COUPLE THE SNOW ON TOP OF A
GLAZE OF ICE RECEIVED DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND VERY SLIPPERY
AND DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS CAN BE EXPECTED. IN
ADDITION...INCREASING NORTH WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH
WILL CAUSE SIGNIFICANT BLOWING OF THE SNOW ACROSS ROADS...AND
GREATLY REDUCE VISIBILITIES AT TIMES. THIS WILL LEAD TO VERY

CHANGED OVER TO SNOW WITH 2 INCHES REPORTED IN PRINCETON AND 1.5
INCHES IN UNIONVILLE. LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AND WEATHER SPOTTERS
HAVE REPORTED SLIPPERY CONDITIONS ON MANY ROADWAYS THIS MORNING...DUE
TO A LIGHT GLAZING OF ICE DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI
