BOONVILLE...WITH A QUICK BURST DEPOSITING UP TO AN ADDITIONAL INCH.
TRAILING THIS AREA INTO EASTERN KANSAS...A LARGE AREA OF LIGHT SNOW
CONTINUED...WITH AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE BEFORE

NORTHEAST MISSOURI. THIS AXIS OF SNOW WILL ROTATE AND PROGRESS EASTWARD
ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING...BRINGING AN ADDITIONAL INCH OR SO OF
SNOW BEFORE ENDING BY EARLY AFTERNOON AS DRIER AIR WORKS IN FROM THE
NORTHWEST. SNOWFALL REPORTS THUS FAR THIS MORNING HAVE RANGED FROM 3
TO 4 INCHES ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS AND THE NORTH KANSAS CITY METRO
AREA...AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST MISSOURI NEAR KIRKSVILLE...TO
6 TO 10 INCHES FROM NEAR ATCHISON KANSAS THROUGH ST JOSEPH...AND
ACROSS GALLATIN AND BETHANY TO THE IOWA BORDER.
VISIBILITIES MAY BE REDUCED TO ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES AS BLUSTERY
NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 20 MPH COMBINE WITH AREAS WHERE HEAVIER
SNOW HAS FALLEN...CREATING DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. NUMEROUS

Generally in eastern Iowa, the snow totals have been in the 8 to 12 inch
range. I
haven't seen the total from Des Moines yet, but we can't really say as it is
still
snowing at 11:30 this morning.
