...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS
EVENING TO 6 PM CST THURSDAY...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS
EVENING TO 6 PM CST THURSDAY.

PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS EVENING ACROSS
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS AND THEN SPREAD NORTH AND
WEST ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA OVERNIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN
AS A COLD RAIN IN THE SOUTHEAST... BUT TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING
ACROSS NORTHERN OKLAHOMA WILL CAUSE THE PRECIPITATION TO FALL AS
FREEZING RAIN... FREEZING DRIZZLE... AND PERHAPS SLEET. RAIN WILL
CHANGE OVER TO FREEZING PRECIPITATION FARTHER SOUTH OVERNIGHT AS
TEMPERATURES FALL TO BELOW FREEZING. PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS AND ICE
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN LIGHT ACROSS MOST AREAS WITH
TOTALS OF A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH. HOWEVER... SOME ISOLATED
AMOUNTS OVER A TENTH OF AN INCH MAY OCCUR IN SOME AREAS. THE
FREEZING PRECIPITATION WILL LINGER INTO THURSDAY ALTHOUGH SOME
AREAS OF NORTH TEXAS AND SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA WILL WARM
BACK ABOVE FREEZING TURNING THE PRECIPITATION BACK TO RAIN. THE
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY DIMINISH LATE THURSDAY AS
THE STORM SYSTEM MOVES EAST OF THE AREA.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR
SLEET MAY CAUSE AREAS OF TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES. USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING... ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES AND ELEVATED ROADWAYS.
