THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A

Today in Weather History
1990

Snow spread across the northeastern U.S. Massachusetts was blanketed with 8
to 15 inches of snow, 5 to 10 inches was reported in Rhode Island, and
totals in Connecticut ranged up to 10.5 inches at New Canaan. In central New
York State, snow and high winds resulted in a number of chain-reaction
multiple accidents, and a total of 108 persons were injured. Snow and high
winds created white-out conditions along Interstate 87 in Saratoga County,
NY. Subzero cold was reported from Minnesota through Michigan to northern
New England. Duluth, MN reported a record low of 26 degrees below zero.

LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL MOVE EAST TODAY AND

MILWAUKEE SOUTH TO THE ILLINOIS BORDER. AFTER MIDNIGHT...NORTH
WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH WITH WIND GUSTS TO 30 TO 35

WEATHER ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
12 PM CST TUESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING MILDER TEMPERATURES AND RAIN
INTO THE AREA TODAY. THE RAIN MAY MIX WITH SOME FREEZING RAIN AT
THE ONSET THIS MORNING...BUT IT SHOULD SWITCH TO ALL RAIN BY
MIDDAY. THEN...AS THE STORM PASSES TO THE SOUTH AND WINDS SWITCH TO
THE NORTHEAST...COLDER AIR WILL BE DRAWN DOWN INTO THE AREA THIS
EVENING. THIS WILL SWITCH THE RAIN OVER TO A WET SNOW BY MID
