...BAND OF HEAVY SNOW CONTINUES TO SIT OVER THE AREA...
.A ROUGHLY EAST TO WEST BAND OF SNOW...50 TO 75 MILES WIDE...
CONTINUED TO SIT OVER THE AREA EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THIS BAND
WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE EARLY AND
MID AFTERNOON HOURS...THEN GRADUALLY TAPER OFF DURING THE LATE
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. VISIBILITIES OF 1 TO 2 MILES
WILL BE COMMON IN THE BAND. IN THE CORE OF THE BAND...FROM AROUND
CRESCO IOWA TO VIROQUA AND MAUSTON WISCONSIN...MODERATE TO HEAVY
SNOW WAS DROPPING VISIBILITIES TO 1/2 MILE OR LESS. ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO AS MUCH AS 4 INCHES INCHES REMAIN POSSIBLE
IN THIS SNOW BAND...ESPECIALLY IN THE CORE FROM CRESCO TO VIROQUA
AND MAUSTON.
BY THIS AFTERNOON...WINDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE...WHICH WILL
RESULT IN SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING IN THE OPEN AND UNSHELTERED
AREAS OF NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA AND AREA RIDGE-TOPS.
THE SNOW WILL EXIT BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON OR EARLY THIS EVENING
WITH THE HIGHEST STORM TOTALS OF 5 TO AS MUCH AS 10 INCHES FROM
NORTH OF DECORAH IOWA TO NEAR VIROQUA AND MAUSTON WISCONSIN. TO
THE WEST AND TO THE SOUTH OF THE BAND...AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES
CAN BE EXPECTED NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE MAIN CORE OF THE SNOW BAND.
IF TRAVELING THIS AFTERNOON...TAKE IT SLOW AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME
TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION. THE SNOW WILL MAKE ROADWAYS SLIPPERY
AND HAZARDOUS.

WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON. THE
SNOW ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
SNOW WILL CONTINUE FOR MUCH OF THE AFTERNOON...WITH TOTALS OF 4 TO
8 INCHES EXPECTED TO BE QUITE COMMON. AS MUCH AS 8 TO 10 INCHES
WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM CRESCO TO BLUFFTON AND DORCHESTER. SOME
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AS
NORTHWEST WINDS INCREASE.
A HEAVY SNOW WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
