NOW

...REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION... A COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO SURGE SOUTHEAST ACROSS NORTHERN AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA...AND PORTIONS OF NORTH TEXAS THROUGH MIDNIGHT. AT 1030 PM...THE FRONT EXTENDED FROM JUST NORTHWEST OF QUANAH TEXAS... NORTHWARD TO HOBART...TO JUST WEST OF ENID AND MEDFORD. BY MIDNIGHT...THE FRONT IS EXPECTED TO EXTEND FROM BETWEEN VERNON AND WICHITA FALLS TEXAS...NORTHWARD TO LAWTON AND OKLAHOMA CITY...TO PONCA CITY. AS THIS FRONT PROGRESSES SOUTHEAST...STRONG AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR ALONG THE FRONT OVER NORTHERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. THE CHANCES FOR STORMS FARTHER SOUTH ALONG THE FRONT...ACROSS SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTH TEXAS...ARE MUCH LOWER. THE GREATEST COVERAGE OF STORMS WILL BE SEEN OVER AREAS NORTH OF INTERSTATE-40. THE GREATEST CONCERNS WITH ANY SEVERE STORMS WILL BE HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF GOLFBALLS AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. THOSE WHO DO NOT EXPERIENCE THUNDERSTORMS WILL STILL SEE A STRONG NORTHWEST WIND BEHIND THE FRONT. MOST LOCATIONS WILL SEE NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH...BUT MUCH OF WESTERN AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA WILL SEE POST-FRONTAL WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MPH FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF HOURS AFTER THE FRONT PASSES.
