TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
ARKANSAS
SOUTHERN MISSOURI
NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI
EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING FROM 650 PM
UNTIL 200 AM CDT.
..THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...
DESTRUCTIVE TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER...
THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE
POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 160 STATUTE
MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 15 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF
FAYETTEVILLE ARKANSAS TO 70 MILES SOUTHEAST OF BATESVILLE

AIR MASS IS MODERATE TO STRONGLY UNSTABLE ALONG AND SOUTH OF A WARM
FRONT EXTENDING FROM SWRN MO INTO CENTRAL AR/NRN MS EARLY THIS
EVENING WHICH WILL SUSTAIN INTENSE SUPERCELLS. IN ADDITION...LOW
LEVEL SHEAR REMAINS VERY STRONG AND WILL SUPPORT POTENTIAL FOR
SIGNIFICANT TORNADOES WITHIN THE WATCH AREA THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.
