THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
A LARGE PART OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
SMALL PART OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS
MUCH OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI
PARTS OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA
EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 115 PM UNTIL 800
PM CDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 75 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES SOUTH OF POTEAU
OKLAHOMA TO 60 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF FORT LEONARD WOOD

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

INTENSITY ACROSS THE WATCH WHERE THE AIR MASS IS NOW VERY TO
EXTREMELY UNSTABLE WITH MLCAPES ABOVE 3000 J/KG. THE MCV MOVING
NEWD INTO NERN OK WILL ENHANCE BOTH SHEAR/ASCENT FOR SUPERCELL
POTENTIAL. LARGE HAIL AND ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL BE ASSOCIATED
WITH ANY SUPERCELL.
AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 3 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
