Personal Note on Storms in the OKC Area

Thank you Michelle for posting the updates. This is not an actual weather update but an account regarding the storms.

We are okay here. Joe was at the house but Wes and I had gone to get a monitor for his computer. As soon as we got in the store, the sirens went off--twice. We had Wes' truck but it doesn't have a country radio in it. The storm went from nothing but rain to severe in that length of time.

In the meantime, the tornado went right over my house but didn't touch down. Joe watched it from the front porch. He also observed it set down on the other side of the lake where the damage is. It hit about a mile away, powers lines down-13,000 people without power, gas leaks, trees down, etc. No injuries so far. BTW, it was rain wrapped and all Joe could see was rotation above him and felt the pressure. The tornado seemed to skip across from our area to the NW side of OKC. It is now out of the OKC area and we are no longer under a warning.
