It was very gray/stormy type weather in Blackwell but no storms. We came south on I 35 past Perry and Orlando where the tornado is approaching. Orlando has been evacuated and the tornado should pass directly over Orlando. Rotation is increasing as it approaches Orlando and lots of "little fingers" are dropping down. There is a "donut hole" about 2 miles N. of Orlando. Wind shear had dropped. The wedge tornado is no longer on the ground. However, wind sheer is now increasing. At one point, it was 200 mph but is around 100 mph now. Another tornado just S of Perry has dissipated. Just in, another wall cloud just formed NW or Orlando. There are several tornadoes in that area.
About 5 miles S of Covington, where the wedge tornado was located in Garfield County. it has been reported a man is trapped in a mobile home that was blown across the highway. EOC is reporting the largest pork farm was destroyed near Lacy. Travelers are being advised to stay off I 35.
Now reporting 2 tornadoes are on the ground, one NW and one N of Orlando.
These storms are very reminiscent of the May 3rd tornado in the Oklahoma City/Moore area.
I will try to keep you up to date on these storms.
