THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
EASTERN KENTUCKY
WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA
SOUTHERN OHIO
EASTERN TENNESSEE
SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA
SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA
EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON FROM 955 AM UNTIL 300
PM EDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES NORTH OF CHARLESTON
WEST VIRGINIA TO 55 MILES SOUTH OF KNOXVILLE TENNESSEE. FOR A

WINDS MAY MORE READILY MIX DOWN ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN AS
