CENTRAL IOWA...NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST IOWA AND NORTHEAST
MISSOURI.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY BUT ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME MORE
NUMEROUS TONIGHT. A FEW STORMS MAY PRODUCE MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL
LATE TONIGHT.
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AND MOST TRIBUTARY RIVERS IN EASTERN IOWA AND
NORTHWEST ILLINOIS WILL REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. FLOOD WARNINGS
REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR POINTS IN THE WAPSIPINICON...CEDAR...IOWA...
MISSISSIPPI RIVER...PECATONICA...AND ROCK RIVER BASINS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
ONE OR POSSIBLY TWO THUNDERSTORM COMPLEXES WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA
FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY EVENING PRODUCING MODERATE RAINFALL. HEAVY
RAINFALL STILL APPEARS POSSIBLE BUT SHOULD BE MAINLY ALONG AND
NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 20 CORRIDOR. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS ON FRIDAY
MAY PRODUCE MARGINALLY SEVERE HAIL.
AREA RIVERS ARE ALREADY HIGH OR IN FLOOD FROM THE HEAVY RAIN
LAST WEEK. THIS NEW ROUND OF RAIN WILL SLOW DOWN THE RATE OF FALL ON
AREA RIVERS. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOME TRIBUTARY RIVERS MAY STOP
FALLING AND START CLIMBING AGAIN.
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AND MOST TRIBUTARY RIVERS IN EASTERN IOWA AND
NORTHWEST ILLINOIS WILL REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. FLOOD WARNINGS
REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR POINTS IN THE WAPSIPINICON...CEDAR...IOWA...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PARTS OF SOUTHEAST
MINNESOTA...NORTHEAST IOWA AND SOUTHWEST INTO CENTRAL WISCONSIN.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
AS LOW PRESSURE MOVES SLOWLY NORTHEAST FROM THE CENTRAL PLAINS...
IT SHOULD TRIGGER SOME THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT. THESE STORMS ARE NOT
EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE...AS IT APPEARS THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL FOR
ORGANIZED SEVERE STORMS WILL BE SOUTHWEST OF THE AREA.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
OCCASIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA FRIDAY INTO
FRIDAY EVENING...AS LOW PRESSURE CONTINUES MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEAST
INTO THE LOWER GREAT LAKES. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A FEW SEVERE
STORMS FRIDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS PARTS OF NORTHEAST IOWA AND SOUTHWEST
WISCONSIN. THIS WOULD GENERALLY BE ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM THE
MINNESOTA-IOWA BORDER TOWARD WISCONSIN DELLS. DAMAGING WINDS AND
LARGE HAIL SHOULD BE THE PRIMARY THREAT.
IN ADDITION TO THE THUNDERSTORMS...THERE WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR
ANOTHER ROUND OF SIGNIFICANT RAINS ON FRIDAY. THIS MAY LEAD TO
RENEWED RISES ON STREAMS AND RIVERS AND THE THREAT OF FLOODING.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED FRIDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS PARTS OF
SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN AND NORTHEAST IOWA. REPORTS OF RAINFALL AND RIVER
LEVELS WOULD ALSO BE APPRECIATED TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY.

SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA...NORTHWEST IOWA...AND NORTHEAST NEBRASKA.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
THUNDERSTORMS...
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA
TODAY...HOWEVER DUE TO A STRONG INVERSION ALOFT...ANY STORMS
THROUGH THE DAYTIME HOURS SHOULD NOT BE SEVERE. THERE IS A BETTER
CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM VERMILLION SOUTH
DAKOTA TO SIOUX RAPIDS IOWA THIS EVENING. AS THE MID LEVELS COOL
IN THIS AREA...THERE COULD BE ISOLATED STORMS WHICH PRODUCE UP TO
NICKEL SIZE HAIL DURING THE EARLY EVENING.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS COULD LINGER INTO FRIDAY MORNING ACROSS
PARTS OF SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST IOWA. HOWEVER SEVERE
STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED.
THERE IS A CHANCE THAT SOME LIGHT SNOW COULD MIX WITH RAIN ACROSS
THE AREA...EXPANDING FROM WEST TO EAST LATE FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY
NIGHT AS COLDER AIR ALOFT SPREADS INTO THE AREA. AT THIS TIME ANY
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE MINIMAL...GENERALLY AROUND
AN HALF INCH OR LESS...HIGHER ELEVATIONS AROUND GREGORY COUNTY IN
SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA COULD SEE AN INCH OR TWO IF THE SNOW
BEGINS EARLY ENOUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

NEBRASKA SHOULD LIFT INTO NORTHEAST NEBRASKA AND WEAKEN
TODAY...MEANWHILE A WARM FRONT OVER NORTHERN KANSAS SHOULD BE
PULLED NORTHWARD. THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE AND THE WARM FRONT MAY
PROVIDE A FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORMS...HOWEVER WARM AIR ALOFT IS
EXPECTED TO INHIBIT ORGANIZED THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT TODAY.
TONIGHT...THE MAIN STORM SYSTEM...IN ADDITION SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
WHICH HAS RE-DEVELOPED OVER SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA WILL PROVIDE
ANOTHER FOCUS FOR MORE ORGANIZED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT.
