After an active Sunday and Monday, we'll see a break from the active weather today.
While some storms are expected on Wednesday, the next significant threat for severe storms will come on Thursday, when much of the area could see a significant severe weather event.
There are still questions about the timing and specifics about the event, but I would expect that parts of the area would be included in a moderate risk, possibly as early as tomorrow morning. Given what we're looking at right now, supercells will be possible. This system has more upper level support than the last one, and we would expect more organized storms and more wind shear.
Keep a close eye on our enhanced web page for more details. You'll likely see multimedia briefings over the next few days outlining what we expect to happen.
