SNOW HAS FALLEN THROUGH THE MORNING FOR LOCATIONS NORTHWEST
OF INTERSTATE 44 IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA. SOME LOCATIONS IN OSAGE...
WASHINGTON...AND NOWATA COUNTIES HAVE REPORTED MORE THAN SEVEN
INCHES OF SNOW. IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN CARROLL
COUNTY HAVE REPORTED MORE THAN FOUR INCHES OF SNOW.
MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOW...PRIMARILY NORTH OF
OF INTERSTATE 44 LATE THIS MORNING...WILL MOVE EAST DURING
THE AFTERNOON. AS THE SNOW MOVES EAST...TEMPERATURES IN EASTERN
OKLAHOMA WILL FALL TO NEAR 32 DEGREES...ALLOWING THE SNOW TO
ACCUMULATE. SNOWFALL RATES MAY APPROACH ONE INCH PER HOUR
AT SOME LOCATIONS.

.A STORM SYSTEM IN NORTHEAST TEXAS WILL TRACK INTO CENTRAL
MISSISSIPPI LATER THIS AFTERNOON. THE SYSTEM WILL PULL DRIER AIR
INTO ARKANSAS FROM THE SOUTHWEST...WITH PRECIPITATION TAPERING OFF
IN MOST AREAS. BY THIS EVENING...COLDER AIR AND ADDITIONAL
MOISTURE WILL WRAP AROUND THE SYSTEM...WITH LIGHT SNOW
REDEVELOPING ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE STATE. ONLY MINOR
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED.

SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS NORTHERN ARKANSAS THIS AFTERNOON.
HOWEVER...INTENSITIES WILL DECREASE AS DRIER AIR WORKS INTO THE
STATE FROM THE SOUTHWEST.
BY THIS EVENING...ADDITIONAL MOISTURE WILL BUILD INTO THE
REGION...WITH LIGHT SNOW REDEVELOPING. THE SNOW WILL END BY
MIDNIGHT...WITH ONLY MINOR ACCUMULATIONS.
OVERALL...1 TO 2 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED
THROUGH THIS EVENING. THIS WILL FALL ON TOP OF HEAVY SNOW THAT HAS
ALREADY OCCURRED.
THE WARNING INCLUDES THE NORTHERN TWO ROWS OF COUNTIES IN
ARKANSAS OR AREAS FROM HARRISON AND JASPER EASTWARD THROUGH
MOUNTAIN VIEW...MOUNTAIN HOME AND HARDY.

THE MID SOUTH TODAY AND TONIGHT...
.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING ACROSS NORTHERN TEXAS
WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE TOWARDS THE MID SOUTH REGION TODAY.
ABUNDANT MOISTURE WILL OVERSPREAD THE COLD AIRMASS IN PLACE. THIS
WILL PRODUCE A MIX OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN OVER PARTS
OF NORTH MISSISSIPPI...NORTHEAST ARKANSAS...THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL
AND WEST TENNESSEE.
SOME AREAS IN NORTHEAST ARKANSAS AND THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL HAVE

SLEET. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES WILL BE LIKELY
THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
