A STRONG ARCTIC FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA ON FRIDAY MORNING. BEHIND
THE FRONT, NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH. THIS COMBINED,
WITH FALLING TEMPERATURES, WILL RESULT IN WIND CHILLS OF 20 TO 35 DEGREES
BELOW ZERO.

ADVISORY, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM FRIDAY TO 12 PM CST SATURDAY. STRONG
NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH, WITH HIGHER GUSTS, WILL REDUCE WIND CHILLS
TO 20 TO 30 BELOW ZERO ON FRIDAY. WIND CHILLS WILL CONTINUE TO FALL FRIDAY
NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING, APPROACHING 35 DEGREES BELOW ZERO. A WIND CHILL
ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN A STRONG WIND WILL COMBINE WITH COLD TEMPERATURES TO
CREATE DANGEROUSLY COLD CONDITIONS FOR EXPOSED SKIN. THE WIND WILL MAKE IT
FEEL LIKE IT IS 20 DEGREES BELOW ZERO OR COLDER FOR A PERIOD OF SEVERAL
HOURS. THOSE PLANNING TO VENTURE OUTDOORS SHOULD DRESS WARMLY, MAKING SURE

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN QUAD CITIES HAS CANCELLED THE SNOW ADVISORY.
THE ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL HAS ENDED ACROSS THE AREA. SOME LIGHT SNOW IS
EXPECTED DURING THE AFTERNOON, BUT ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD BE ONE HALF INCH OR
LESS. BRISK WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH, WITH SOME GUSTS TO 25 MPH, ARE EXPECTED
TO CAUSE SOME DRIFTING SNOW AND LOCALIZED AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW, ESPECIALLY
IN RURAL AREAS.

A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON.
SNOW WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST THROUGH MID AFTERNOON, WITH AN ADDITIONAL 1
OR 2 INCHES POSSIBLE. STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED, WITH SOME ISOLATED 6 INCH AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.
SNOWFALL WILL DROP OFF RAPIDLY EAST OF THE ADVISORY AREA, WITH LOCATIONS
EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER SEEING ONLY AN INCH OR SO OF SNOW.
A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES.
BE PREPARED FOR SLICK, SNOW-COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES, AND BE
CAREFUL WHILE DRIVING.
