A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7:00 PM CDT FOR BARRY,
CHRISTIAN, GREENE, LAWRENCE, MCDONALD, POLK, SOUTHEASTERN DADE, SOUTHWESTERN
DALLAS, STONE, TANEY AND WEBSTER COUNTIES.
AT 1:17 PM CDT, NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE
AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND SOUTHWEST MISSOURI.
THIS AREA OF STORMS WILL BE MOVING ACROSS THE WARNED AREA THIS
AFTERNOON. ALTHOUGH THE RAINFALL HAS NOT STARTED, THE SET UP OF
TRAINING THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY ONE TO TWO INCH RAINFALL RATES
WILL LIKELY DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AS THE COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS
MOVE ACROSS THE AREA. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE...TO LOCALLY
THREE INCHES WILL LIKELY OCCUR ACROSS THE WARNED AREA BEFORE 7 PM.
DUE TO THE SATURATED GROUND FROM RECENT FLOODING, RUNOFF FROM THE
HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE FAST AND WILL LIKELY FLOOD LOW WATER
CROSSINGS QUICKLY.
FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR
IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS WATER COVERED
BRIDGES, DIPS OR LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2:00 PM CDT FOR BARTON,
BENTON, BOURBON, CEDAR, CHEROKEE, CRAWFORD, HICKORY, JASPER, NEWTON,
NORTHWESTERN DADE, NORTHWESTERN POLK, ST. CLAIR AND VERNON COUNTIES.
AT 12:43 PM CDT, LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED THAT
EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WAS PRODUCING FLASH FLOODING ACROSS THE WARNED
AREA. SEVERAL ROADS WERE REPORTED FLOODED AND IMPASSABLE NEAR THE
TOWNS OF WARSAW, NEVADA AND EL DORADO SPRINGS.
A LARGE AREA OF TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN FELL ALONG A LINE FROM
NEAR WALNUT KANSAS, NORTHEAST ACROSS NEVADA, EL DORADO SPRINGS MISSOURI
SINCE 8 AM. DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE RAINFALL, THE BASINS OF
THE DRY WOOD CREEK, LIGHTNING CREEK, PAWNEE CREEK AND WALNUT CREEK
WILL LIKELY BE FLOODED WITH SEVERAL ROADWAYS IMPASSABLE NEAR THEM.
SURROUNDING THE AREA OF TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL, AMOUNTS OF
ONE HALF TO LOCALLY 1.5 INCHES WERE COMMON ACROSS THE WARNED AREA
SINCE 8 AM. THIS FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL LIKELY BE EXTENDED IN TIME
THIS AFTERNOON DUE TO THE CONTINUED RUNOFF AND ADDITIONAL HEAVY
RAINFALL THIS AFTERNOON.
FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR
IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS WATER COVERED BRIDGES, DIPS OR LOW
WATER CROSSINGS.

SOUTHEASTERN BATES COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI
* UNTIL 5:30 PM CDT
* AT 12:13 PM CDT, NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR
INDICATED THAT ONE...TO IN EXCESS OF ONE AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN
HAD FALLEN ACROSS FAR SOUTHEASTERN BATES COUNTY THIS MORNING.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
OCCUR, ESPECIALLY ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND NEAR LOW WATER
CROSSINGS. IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF
SOUTHEASTERN BATES COUNTY INCLUDING THE TOWN OF ROCKVILLE.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY.

AT 1140 AM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED THAT HEAVY
RAINFALL WAS PRODUCING MINOR FLOODING ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA.
WATER WAS REPORTED OVER THE ROADWAY AROUND THE PLEASANT HOPE
AREA...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE POMME DE TERRE RIVER AS RUNOFF CONTINUES
ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. HOWEVER...NONE OF THE ROADS WERE CLOSED AS
OF 1145 AM. ANOTHER REPORT OF MINOR FLOODING OCCURRED ALONG HIGHWAY
13 NEAR THE POLK...GREENE COUNTY LINE WHERE WATER WAS FLOWING OVER
THE ROADWAY.
ALTHOUGH SOME STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL LIKELY BE BANK FULL THROUGH
THE AFTERNOON...ONLY MINOR FLOODING IS EXPECTED. IN ADDITION...THE
HEAVY RAINFALL THAT ENDED ACROSS LAWRENCE...GREENE...POLK AND DALLAS
COUNTIES...WILL LIKELY RECEIVE MORE HEAVY RAINFALL THIS AFTERNOON
WHICH WILL CAUSE MORE RUNOFF AND POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
