THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
SOUTHERN INDIANA
NORTHERN KENTUCKY
SOUTHWESTERN OHIO
EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 1205 PM UNTIL
700 PM EDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 65 STATUTE
MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 10 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF
TERRE HAUTE INDIANA TO 40 MILES NORTHEAST OF LEXINGTON KENTUCKY.

THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS

MULTIPLE MODES THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THIS REGION. ISOLATED SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD PERSIST AHEAD OF MAIN LINE/BOW ECHO MOVING
ACROSS CENTRAL IL LATE THIS MORNING. WIND DAMAGE THREAT COULD BE
WIDESPREAD AS THIS LINE RACES SEWD ACROSS WW THIS AFTERNOON.
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL WILL BE COMMON WITH THE STORMS PRECEEDING THIS
ACTIVITY. SHOULD AREA CLEAR/DESTABILIZE AHEAD OF APPROACHING
MCS...SHEAR REMAINS QUITE STRONG AND WILL SUPPORT A THREAT OF
ISOLATED TORNADOES.
AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
