WILL BEGIN LATE THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTHERN IOWA AND CONTINUE
INTO TUESDAY MORNING. FARTHER SOUTH THE PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN
AS RAIN BEFORE THE TRANSITION TO SNOW...WITH A BRIEF PERIOD OF
FREEZING RAIN POSSIBLE DURING THE TRANSITION. INCREASING NORTH TO
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND

WITH GUSTS OVER 35 MPH LATER TONIGHT THROUGH THE DAY TUESDAY. THIS
WILL CAUSE VERY LOW VISIBILITY AT TIMES AND SIGNIFICANT BLOWING
AND DRIFTING SNOW.
A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF
SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN
AN EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...

LATE TONIGHT AND TUESDAY...ALONG WITH NORTH WINDS INCREASING TO 20
TO 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO
6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING
SNOW. THE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...RESULTING IN LOW VISIBILITY

DONAVON
...MIXED PRECIPITATION POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON THEN SNOW EXPECTED...
.PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN TO SPREAD INTO THE AREA THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON. ACROSS NORTHEAST IOWA INTO SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN...THE
ONSET OF THIS PRECIPITATION COULD BE AS FREEZING RAIN OR SLEET
SHOWERS...MIXED WITH SOME SNOW. THIS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO
PRODUCE A LIGHT COATING OF ICE ON UNTREATED SURFACES. THE FREEZING
RAIN AND SLEET SHOULD CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW DURING THE EVENING
AS THE PRECIPITATION GETS HEAVIER AND TEMPERATURES COOL. THE SNOW
IS THEN EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA NORTH OF THE IOWA MINNESOTA BORDER
SHOULD SEE PRIMARILY ALL SNOW. SOME LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS
THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW EXPECTED THIS
EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THERE IS A SMALL POSSIBILITY
THAT SOME MIXED PRECIPITATION COULD FALL AS THE PRECIPITATION
STARTS...BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE ENOUGH TO PRODUCE ANY ICE
ACCUMULATIONS.
SOME UNCERTAINTY STILL EXISTS FOR TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS ACROSS
NORTHEAST IOWA INTO SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN DUE TO THE MIXED
PRECIPITATION POTENTIAL. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES STILL
LOOK POSSIBLE ALONG WITH SOME ICE ACCUMULATION. FARTHER TO THE
NORTH WHERE MAINLY ALL SNOW IS EXPECTED...TOTAL SNOW AMOUNTS
SHOULD RANGE FROM 5 TO 10 INCHES. THIS BAND OF SNOW SHOULD BE
CENTERED ON THE INTERSTATE 90 CORRIDOR...ESPECIALLY FROM LA CROSSE
EAST TOWARD BLACK RIVER FALLS AND MAUSTON. FOR AREAS NORTH OF
NEILLSVILLE WISCONSIN...SNOW AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED.
IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW...WINDS WILL INCREASE OVERNIGHT TO 15 TO
25 MPH OUT OF THE NORTH AND CONTINUE TO TUESDAY. THESE WINDS WILL
CREATE DRIFTING SNOW AND WILL FURTHER HAMPER TRAVEL ACROSS THE
REGION.
WINTER STORM WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR ALMOST THE ENTIRE LOCAL
AREA THROUGH TUESDAY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR
TAYLOR COUNTY THROUGH TUESDAY.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY...
SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND WILL THEN
BECOME HEAVY DURING THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. THERE IS A
SMALL CHANCE THAT SOME FREEZING RAIN OR SLEET COULD FALL FOR A
WHILE THIS AFTERNOON...BUT THIS IS NOT EXPECTED TO CREATE ANY ICE
ACCUMULATIONS. THE SNOW WILL END TUESDAY AFTERNOON WITH TOTAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 5 TO 10 INCHES EXPECTED. NORTH WINDS WILL
INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH OVERNIGHT AND TUESDAY WHICH WILL CREATE
DRIFTING SNOW AND POSSIBLY SOME BLOWING SNOW. THIS WILL FURTHER
HAMPER TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION.
A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN
EMERGENCY. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY...
PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN MOVING INTO THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON.
INITIALLY THIS SHOULD BE AS SOME FREEZING RAIN OR SLEET
SHOWERS...POSSIBLY MIXED WITH SNOW. THESE SHOWERS WILL HAVE THE
POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE SOME ICE ACCUMULATIONS. AS THE PRECIPITATION
BECOMES HEAVIER THIS EVENING...ALL THE PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE
OVER TO SNOW. THIS SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS INTO TUESDAY.
ICE ACCUMULATIONS UP TO A QUARTER OF A INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE.
TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE STILL EXPECTED...BUT
COULD BE AFFECTED BY THE AMOUNT OF MIXED PRECIPITATION THAT FALLS.
NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH OVERNIGHT AND TUESDAY
WHICH WILL CREATE DRIFTING SNOW AND POSSIBLY SOME BLOWING SNOW.
THIS WILL FURTHER HAMPER TRAVEL ACROSS THE REGION. THESE WINDS
COULD ALSO PRODUCE SOME POWER OUTAGES IF POWER LINES AND TREES
BECOME LADEN WITH ICE.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
