FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CST FRIDAY...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A FREEZE WARNING.WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CST FRIDAY.A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE FROM SOUTHERN AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA INTO ARKANSAS AND TEXAS OVERNIGHT. LIGHT WINDS NEAR THIS AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE HAVE ALLOWED TEMPERATURES TO FALL RAPIDLY THURSDAY EVENING. WINDS WILL INCREASE SOMEWHAT OVERNIGHT WHICH WILL ALLOW THE TEMPERATURES TO STOP FALLING AS QUICKLY OR BECOME MORE STEADY. BUT TEMPERATURES WILL FALL TO NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN... CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA OVERNIGHT... ESPECIALLY IN LOW-LYING AREAS AND VALLEYS. IN THE OKLAHOMA CITY METRO AREA...TEMPERATURES IN THE URBAN AREAS MAY STAY ABOVE FREEZING... BUT LOW LYING AND RURAL AREAS WILL LIKELY EXPERIENCE FREEZING OR SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES. A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
